Here’s a nice memory piece on the Fairport cover, which opines that the band’s “first, light-hearted hit offered few clues that they would reinvent English folk music.”

“Who Knows Where the Time Goes” may just be Fairport’s greatest ever song and one of the greatest, you know, ever:
