Notes:
The site they made for Zima is amazing.
Could that over there be the cassingle in question?
Perhaps it is, yet it reminds us of the writings of the legendary Larry Harroway, who opined, “I treasure my comprehensive libraries of such Cassingle Era giants as Hall & Oates, Mr. Mister, and Laura Branigan in equal measure to my extensive archive of such one-cassingle wonders as T’Pau, Nu Shooz, and Boys Don’t Cry. In all the world, is there a collection of cassingles equal to my own? No. No such collection exists, except in dreams.”
Yes, friends, Juice Newton was not the first to record and release “Queen of Hearts.” The tune, written by Hank DeVito (who played in Emmylou Harris’ band), was recorded by both Dave Edmunds (1979) and Rodney Crowell (1980) before Juice turned it into a top 5 smash in 1981. Here’s Dave’s version — which was a #11 hit on the UK chart (dig Basher on bass):

Here’s a great piece on Revolution Summer from someone who was a key part of it.
Patrick is pretty sure one of the albums he got from Columbia House Record Club (11 for a penny!) was The Grand Illusion.
Jeff Rosenstock is always on tour, it seems. Follow him, it’ll make you a better human, we thinks.
