Notes:
Hunter Bennett, who has been with us on the show all week, continues to lead the discussion on the life of Warren Zevon.
Picking up where we left off yesterday, Zevon’s last record with Asylum, The Envoy, is flopping. He escapes to New Jersey and moves in with Philadelphia DJ Anita Gevinson.
After reading a Rolling Stone article learning that Asylum Records has dropped him, Zevon’s drinking spirals out of control. But, his career gets back on track when talent manager Andy Slater invites Zevon to head to Athens, GA to record some demos.
