Music:

  • Bailter Space “Seperate-Circles” Nelsh Bailter Space (Flying Nun Records) 1987
  • The Tables “Great Adventures In Wonderland” Shady Whims & Obstacles (Perfect Pop Records) 1992
  • Astroburger “Oslo By Night” I Used to Be Mod (Big Ball Records) 1992

Notes:

We dive back into the fan mail pile for today’s episode. Messages about legendary New Zealand label Flying Nun Records, and Norway’s very own ‘Perfect Pop’ label, dominate the conversation. Big thanks to our listeners for these amazing notes!

FUN FACT: The group Bailter Space have been compared with Sonic Youth in the past, with one publication, the Washington City Paper calling them, “The Sonic Youth of the Southern Hemisphere” in 1994.
