Notes:

Patron of the pod Noah Crane picks today’s topic: R.E.M.’s 1998 album, Up. The band’s 11th studio album was the first record without drummer Bill Berry; opting instead for session musicians and drum machines. Up left a lot of fans feeling down without the group’s original drummer, among others. Noah, however, has a more positive perspective of it.
